In The Company Of Dogs - DON'T RETURN GIFT ITEMS UNLESS YOU WANT THE SENDER TO KNOW
I received a Christmas gift from a friend that was too large and I didn't want. I returned it and put a note that this was gift, I didn't want the recipient notified, gave my credit card information and phone number. How embarrassing to get an email from my friend that she received notification of the return, was credited for the gift and charged again for the exchanged item. Amazon they are not!
In The Company Of Dogs - Unauthorized VIP charge
Seems an order automatically puts you in their VIP Club. Your bank card is charged and getting it cancelled is next to impossible with a constant “run around”. If they can charge all online customers $14.95 they are making a tidy illegal sum. These people are simply crooks.
In The Company Of Dogs - Not the Best Customer Service
On December 21, 2018, I responded to an email about canceling a backordered item, asking for my order to be canceled. Within minutes I received the following response: "Dear Joanne Freimuth, Thank you for contacting us about cancelling an item in your order. One of our representatives will review your message and respond within 48 hours. Thank you, In The Company Of Dogs Customer Service" Unfortunately, the 48 hours passed 10 days ago. I have received no further correspondence from the company.

In The Company Of Dogs - Email annoyances
Do NOT give these people your email address. It's like inviting a virus into your email account. The more I request to unsubscribe, the more emails I get from them. I think it's up to 6 or 7 a day now. I even called to ask them to stop, and they keep coming. I hate them!! I will NEVER, EVER order anything from such an annoying company.

I wish I had seen these posts before placing my order. 2 items on backorder, never notified when placing the order. I asked if there was an ETA and here was the response they emailed me 2 days later... As noted when you placed your order online, both items would have shown as backordered with a date as to when our next shipments are due to come in. Both items were due to arrive from the vendor last week but we have yet to receive them. No apology for the inconvenience...just an accusation that it notified me during my order. NO it did not, or I would have not ordered them knowing I needed them for Christmas. Looks like 1 year later this company still cannot get their act together!!
